Teachers Equipping Track
Purpose: To equip, develop and release those with the ability/gift of teaching at NLF
Goal: Placement of trained teachers in various equipping contexts at NLF
o Small Groups
o Mentoring/Discipleship
0 Sunday Morning Equipping Classes—SHAPE, Baptism, Bible, SHAPE Interviewer
0 NLF School of the Bible and Spiritual Formation Cohort Leaders
0 Children’s Church
Training Sessions:
o 1st Wednesday of each month
o From 7-9:00
o October thru March (6 sessions)
o Oct. 5th
o Nov. 2nd
o Dec. 7th
o Jan. 4th
o Feb. 1st
o March 1st
Sessions Breakdown & Content to be Covered:
1. Scripture/Theological Foundations for teaching levels of authority, gift of teaching, ability to teach, making disciples (all), discipleship context, formal/informal, inductive/deductive/instructive, teaching styles and contexts, story, illustrations, John 13, SHAPE
2. Facilitation of a Discussion & Lectio Divena
3. Group Dynamics: authenticity, safety, leaders sets the tone, listening, experiential learning (lecture, demonstration, reflection, interaction), EGR people, content vs. process, pastoral care, the Holy Spirit
4. Inductive Bible Study Part I
5. Inductive Bible Study Part II
6. Inductive Bible Study Part III
Requirements for Enrollment:
Approval by Community Coach, SG leader, Ministry Leader or Staff
Willingness to attend all training sessions
Willingness to apply the training in a ministry context
